WELCOME
I am a cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist, working towards accreditation with the BABCP. I work online with adolescents and adults, offering psychological assessment and support in Romanian and English.
I have been living in Scotland for the past four years and also offer psychological support to Romanians living abroad, adapted to the realities of life outside their home country.
I’ve been told I have “a direct but empathetic style,” a description that I feel reflects my approach in therapy very well. In my work, I aim to build an honest therapeutic relationship, grounded in clarity and respect for the process. I don’t see therapy as a directionless space where we simply talk. Instead, I believe in a collaborative, goal-oriented approach. For me, therapy is an active process based on reflection, learning, and the practical application of tools and skills developed along the way.
I don’t offer quick fixes or magical solutions. We work with what we discover together, whether that’s discomfort, fear, uncertainty, or feeling stuck. The therapies I practice (drawing from clinical psychology, CBT, and so-called “third-wave” approaches such as ACT and CFT) are evidence-based, while remaining tailored to each individual and their unique context. I believe real change begins with UNDERSTANDING and EDUCATION, and continues through CONSISTENTCY. Sometimes this is a process that lasts a few months; other times, it takes longer. I will walk alongside you for part of this journey, and when you feel ready, you will continue it on your own, equipped with the resources you’ve gained along the way.
I worked for over 10 years in Advertising and Project Management. At a certain point, I realised that this career path was no longer aligned with my values or with the sense of purpose I seek in my work. This led to a career change that brought me closer to people and to a field where I feel I can make a meaningful impact.
I have personally experienced episodes of severe anxiety and post-traumatic stress, and my own experiences in therapy were not always what I needed. I did not resonate with approaches lacking scientific grounding, overly general frameworks, or processes without continuity. These experiences pushed me to seek greater clarity and to better understand what makes therapy truly effective.
Out of this journey came the decision to become the therapist I would have needed at that time, one guided by knowledge, empathy, and structure. I believe therapy should have meaning and direction, deliver tangible outcomes, bring clarity, close unresolved processes, and help reconnect aspects that feel fragmented.
We live in an online space saturated with superficial messages, pseudo-science, and promises of “quick fixes.” I do not align myself with these narratives. I believe in sustained effort, education, the active involvement of both therapist and client, and support grounded in accurate information and professionalism.
My AIM is to help people better understand their experiences, regain clarity, and become active, empowered participants in their own process of change.
